We got tired of the alternatives
We've been in the PC optimization space for years. Before eclean, we contributed to AtlasOS—an open-source project trying to make Windows less bloated. We saw firsthand how much people wanted their computers to just work without all the noise.
But we also saw a gap. Existing PC tools were either sketchy, stuffed with ads, or so complicated that regular people couldn't use them. The “big names” had become bloated, naggy, and more interested in upselling than actually helping.
So we started eclean. Not as a business plan, but as a genuine attempt to build the tool we wished existed. Something that's actually helpful, doesn't spy on you, and gets out of your way when you don't need it.
We're a tiny team. We don't have venture capital or a marketing department. Just a genuine belief that PC software can be better—and the stubbornness to try and prove it.
Open-source roots
We came from the community. We still believe in transparency, sharing knowledge, and building in the open where we can.
Users over metrics
We'd rather have fewer happy users than millions of frustrated ones. Quality over growth-at-all-costs.
