    eclean Latest release

    Update progress, Pro device recovery, and Atlas fixes

    Updates now show what they are doing, Pro access follows account changes while eclean is open, and device limits can be resolved during sign-in. Atlas Mode execution and Optimizer history get a reliability and clarity pass too.

    Biggest changes

    • Updates now show preparation, live download progress, installation status, and failures in a dedicated panel, with a retry option when something goes wrong.
    • Plan and Pro device changes now refresh while eclean is open. If sign-in reaches a device limit, eclean shows the devices you can manage so you can remove a signed-in device, free a Pro slot, or continue on Free where available.
    • The pricing screen now has monthly and yearly choices, shows active promotional pricing with the normal price and renewal terms, and counts down time-limited offers.
    • Atlas Mode optimization batches are more reliable. Queued operations now show as in progress, earlier failures block later steps, cancellations report accurately, and interactive scripts point you to their Atlas window output.

    Minor changes

    • Settings now includes Activate Pro on this PC when a paid account is signed in on Free, with a route to device management when every slot is occupied.
    • Pending Changes and Optimizer History now pair each action with the setting it affects, making entries easier to scan in every supported language.
    • Browser sign-in now ends on a proper return page and no longer leaves the desktop window unresponsive after the callback.
    • Startup session checks recover from network problems more reliably, and quick dashboard reads stay responsive while long-running scans are underway.

    Family and device management in your account

    Your account gains two new pages, Devices and Family. Alongside them, the pricing page now shows the billing country it resolved for you, live chat answers account questions directly, and desktop sign-in ends on a real page in your browser.

    Biggest changes

    • Added Devices to your account: every PC signed in to the eclean app, with its plan, app version, and last-seen time. You can rename a device, move it between eclean Pro and Free, or remove it, which signs that PC out remotely. The full story is in the announcement post.
    • Added Family for the Pro Family plan. The plan provisions your family automatically, and the owner invites up to four other people by email, with each invitation reserving a seat for seven days. Everyone keeps their own sign-in, settings, and billing, and members never see each other's devices.
    • Device limits now refuse a sign-in with clear recovery choices instead of silently signing out the oldest device, and Free keeps up to three devices signed in instead of one.
    • Sensitive account actions, such as removing a member or a device, now ask you to confirm it is you with your password, an authenticator code, or a recovery code.

    Minor changes

    • The pricing page now resolves your billing country up front and shows it beside the billing period with its flag, so checkout opens in one click. The country sets taxes, fees, and who you buy from. Prices stay in USD.
    • Fixed a checkout that could take payment without granting access when the address collected at checkout disagreed with the billing country the page had guessed, and plan changes now preview and charge the same tax-included amount.
    • Live chat can now look up your own plan, orders, devices, family, and sign-in diagnostics when you ask, and can resend a verification email or file your feedback, so common questions resolve without waiting for a human.
    • Desktop sign-in in the browser now skips the sign-in form when you are already signed in on eclean.gg and jumps straight to a one-click confirmation, and it finishes on a page that says plainly whether sign-in worked instead of a bare localhost message.

    Full AtlasOS support and browser sign-in

    Atlas Mode headlines this release: eclean now fully supports AtlasOS. Sign-in moves to the system browser with a redesigned login screen, and optimizer, sign-in, and localization fixes ride along.

    Biggest changes

    • Added Atlas Mode, full support for AtlasOS. On a supported Atlas installation the Optimizer gains an Atlas tab with all 97 operations from the Atlas 0.5.0 playbook as searchable cards, while eclean optimizations that Atlas manages become read-only "Managed by Atlas" entries so the two never conflict. Every Atlas script is verified against a signed, hash-pinned manifest before and during execution. The full story is in the announcement post.
    • Atlas Mode details: an Atlas indicator in the titlebar shows support status and opens an explainer, the Atlas theme is on by default on Atlas installations, and unreviewed Atlas versions get clear guidance instead of silent behavior changes.
    • Replaced the in-app password form with browser-based sign-in. Continuing with eclean now opens the website sign-in in your system browser and returns you to the app automatically, using the same hardened loopback flow as OAuth, which is now PKCE-bound as well.
    • Redesigned the login screen into a single stacked sign-in group with clearer labels and a hint that sign-in opens in your browser.

    Minor changes

    • Optimizer per-user tweaks that hit permission-locked registry keys now apply and revert through the broker instead of failing.
    • Two-factor sign-in handles single-use codes correctly, so a rejected code clears the input instead of inviting a retry with the same digits, and temporary provider outages during OAuth offer a retry instead of a dead end.
    • A broken release now updates itself before anything else in the app is allowed to run.
    • Translated the remaining English-only strings across all 13 non-English languages, including Windows 10 end-of-support messaging and the search engine settings, and Atlas Mode ships fully localized.

    Uninstaller redesign and config import/export

    This release reworks the Uninstaller, adds Optimizer config import and export, and lets you choose your own search engine. Login and cleanup fixes ride along, with lighter background reporting.

    Biggest changes

    • Redesigned the Uninstaller. Apps now have list, grid, and compact views with a new toolbar, search, filter dropdown, and grouped sections, plus sorting by size, last used, and install date to surface easy wins faster.
    • Added Optimizer config import and export. Save your Optimizer tweaks to a shareable .ecleanopt file and apply them on another machine, with a preview that shows exactly how many entries will apply versus be skipped (locked Pro, unchanged, incompatible, invalid) before anything is written.
    • Added a Default search engine setting. Choose which engine eclean uses for web lookups: Google, Bing, DuckDuckGo, Brave Search, Ecosia, Kagi, Startpage, or your own custom HTTPS URL.

    Minor changes

    • Fixed sign-in for OAuth accounts with MFA enabled.
    • Uninstaller detects renamed application executables as leftovers, retains metadata during leftover scans, and improves Microsoft Store (UWP) app detection.
    • Junk Cleaner protects Spotify profile state, so approved cleanup no longer signs you out.
    • Reduced background reporting.
    • Polished app visuals (footer, layout, and spacing) and fixed Optimizer search, filter, and header controls.

    Admin broker, lighter tray, safer actions

    The biggest change under the hood since launch is that eclean no longer runs its whole UI as administrator. A reviewed broker service carries the privileged work instead, and startup, the tray, and background usage all benefit.

    Biggest changes

    • Reworked administrator privileges. eclean now opens as a normal desktop app, with admin-only Windows actions run through a broker service. This fixes startup without making the whole UI run as administrator.
    • Reduced background usage when eclean is closed to the tray, by shutting down the WebView instance while the window is closed.
    • Fixed tray reopening. Reopening eclean from the tray creates a fresh window, so you no longer need to fully quit the app to get it back.
    • Improved launch at login by replacing the old elevated scheduled task with a normal per-user startup entry.
    • Routed protected Optimizer, Booster, Junk Cleaner cleanup, and Windows Fixer actions through reviewed broker commands instead of broad app-wide elevation.

    Minor changes

    • Optimizer reverts restore the exact previous registry values where possible, and unsafe Windows 10 update targets are blocked on unsupported services.
    • Booster handles failed Scheduled Task changes correctly, so switches return to the right state when an action fails.
    • Cleaner protected cleanup uses scan receipts and item IDs, cleaning approved protected locations while blocking unsafe targets.
    • Uninstaller detects MSI apps without normal uninstall strings, including VMware-style entries, and MSI monitoring finishes when Windows Installer confirms removal.
    • Your PC storage metrics work better, AMD GPU architecture detection is more accurate, and Sensors update more consistently.
    • Added the new Motion setting (System, On, Off) and capped UI scale at 100% to prevent broken layouts.
    • Improved refresh busy states, Atlas mode, charts, modals, loading states, pricing copy, subscription checkout, OAuth callback handling, and external auth links.
