Why the same team built a different tool.

AtlasOS asks something of you. It rebuilds Windows around performance and expects you to read, understand, and commit. Millions of enthusiasts made that trade gladly, and taught us what a transparent relationship with an operating system looks like.

But most people never wanted to rebuild Windows. They wanted the machine they already have to stay fast, private, and understandable, without turning it into a weekend project. The lessons were transferable. The tool was not.

eclean is those lessons in a different shape, an app instead of an OS modification, maintenance instead of transformation, minutes instead of weekends. Less radical on the surface, but every bit as opinionated about how software should treat you.

Do I need AtlasOS to use eclean?

Not at all. eclean is a standalone app built for standard Windows 10 and 11, and it never expects, suggests, or requires AtlasOS.

I already use AtlasOS. Does eclean work there?

Yes, fully supported. AtlasOS is a one-time playbook. It transforms Windows when you apply it and does not maintain anything afterward. eclean is the tool we recommend for that ongoing upkeep.

Will eclean conflict with AtlasOS changes?

They are designed to sit alongside each other. eclean explains every change before it is applied and keeps a route back for supported changes, on AtlasOS just like on standard Windows.
