Cookie Policy - Tracking Choices

Last updated: February 11, 2026

Introduction

This Cookie Policy explains what cookies and similar tracking technologies we use on our website (eclean.gg), why we use them, and how you can control them. This policy should be read together with our Privacy Policy.

We believe in giving you real control over your data — not fake choices buried in dark patterns. Our cookie consent tool lets you pick exactly which providers you're comfortable with, and we don't preselect anything except what's strictly necessary.

What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help websites function, remember your preferences, and provide usage information.

  • First-party cookies are set by the website you're visiting (eclean.gg).
  • Third-party cookies are set by external services integrated into our site.
  • Session cookies are temporary and deleted when you close your browser.
  • Persistent cookies remain until they expire or you delete them.

Similar technologies

In addition to cookies, we may use:

  • Local storage and session storage: Browser-based storage for preferences and state.
  • Pixels and web beacons: Small images used to measure marketing campaign effectiveness.
  • JavaScript tracking: Scripts that collect anonymous usage data.

Categories of Cookies

Essential Cookies

These cookies are necessary for the website to function and cannot be disabled. They are set in response to your actions — like setting privacy preferences, logging in, or opening our chat widget.

Cookie Provider Purpose Type Expiry
eclean_cc eclean Stores your cookie consent preferences First-party 1 year
cf_clearance Cloudflare Bot protection verification (Turnstile) First-party 30 min
crisp-client/* Crisp Chat widget session persistence First-party 6 months

Note on Crisp: The chat cookie is set only when you open the chat widget. Since you initiate the interaction, it is classified as essential for delivering the support you requested. See Crisp cookie policies for details.

Note on Microsoft Clarity: Clarity uses the ConsentV2 API and starts in no-consent mode — no cookies are set and no data persists across pages until you grant analytics consent. Its cookies are listed in the Analytics section below because they only activate with your permission.

Cookieless services (always active, no cookies set):

  • Umami Analytics — Fully cookieless, privacy-first web analytics. No cookies, no local storage, no fingerprinting. GDPR and PECR-compliant by design. Does not require consent. Collects only aggregated page views and referrers with no personal data.
  • Sentry — Error tracking uses transient session-based identifiers. No cookies are stored.

These cookies help us understand how visitors use our website so we can improve the experience. Each provider can be individually enabled or disabled in our consent tool.

Consent Mode & Privacy-preserving Behavior

Google Consent Mode v2

We use Google Consent Mode v2 to communicate your preferences to Google services. When you deny consent, Google Analytics and Google Ads operate in a privacy-preserving mode without cookies. The following signals are managed:

  • analytics_storage — controlled by your Google Analytics preference
  • ad_storage, ad_user_data, ad_personalization — controlled by your Marketing preference
  • functionality_storage, security_storage — always granted (essential)

Managing your preferences

1. Cookie Consent Tool

When you first visit our site, you'll see a consent banner. You can accept all, reject all non-essential, or customize per-provider. Change your preferences anytime via the "Cookie Settings" link in the footer.

2. Browser Settings

Most browsers let you view, delete, and block cookies. Instructions for common browsers:

3. Opt-out Tools

You can opt out of interest-based advertising through:

Do Not Track

We respect "Do Not Track" (DNT) browser signals and treat them as a rejection of non-essential cookies. We recommend using our consent tool for the most precise control.

Impact of disabling Cookies

  • Essential cookies: Cannot be disabled. Blocking them may prevent the site from functioning.
  • Analytics cookies: Disabling these means we can't learn how visitors use the site, which helps us improve.
  • Marketing cookies: You'll still see ads on other platforms, but we won't know if they took you to our site.
  • Embedded content: Third-party content (videos, social posts) will be blocked and replaced with placeholders.

Your Rights

Under GDPR, CCPA, and other privacy regulations, you have rights regarding data collected through cookies:

  • Right to be informed: This policy explains how we use cookies.
  • Right to access: Request access to data collected about you.
  • Right to erasure: Request deletion of your data (subject to legal requirements).
  • Right to withdraw consent: Change your cookie preferences at any time.

For details on all your rights, see our Privacy Policy.

Updates to this policy

We may update this Cookie Policy to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will be updated accordingly.
