Introducing eclean
We're going live. Here's what eclean is, how we approach optimization, and what you can expect from us.
We're a small team building PC optimization tools we actually use ourselves. This blog is where we'll share what we're building, why each feature exists, and how we validate that changes are genuinely useful on real machines.
Our goal is straightforward: make optimization practical for everyday users without turning your computer into an experiment. Every tweak we ship is tested for safety, reversibility, and measurable impact. If we cannot explain a change in plain language, we do not consider it ready.
Here's what you can expect from this blog:
- Product updates - What's new, what changed, and the problem each update solves
- Optimization guides - Practical steps you can run in minutes, with expected outcomes
- Behind the scenes - How we evaluate trade-offs between speed, stability, and privacy
- Community stories - How people are setting up and using eclean
How we approach optimization
When we evaluate a feature, we track cold boot behavior, app launch consistency, idle CPU activity, and memory pressure over time. We also verify that each recommendation can be undone cleanly, because reversible changes are essential for trust.
We are intentionally conservative. Some tweaks can benchmark well but increase risk or unpredictability in real-world use. In those cases, we either avoid the tweak entirely or ship it behind clear guidance with safe defaults.
