Redesigned pages and Pro that works in the background

eclean 1.4 redesigns most of the app. Each page now tells you where you stand at the top and explains every item in plain words. Pro gains features that keep working in the background, and several Pro features are now free.

New in Pro

• Automatic cleanup cleans what apps leave behind every week, even when eclean is closed, and gives you two minutes to review each run first.
• Stay optimized puts your Optimizer changes back when a Windows update undoes them.
• Saved setups switch between your own sets of Optimizer changes in one press.
• Automatic DNS keeps you on the fastest DNS at your blocking level and tells you whenever it switches.
• Space watch tells you when a drive is filling up and which folder grew.
• Quiet uninstall removes apps without making you click through their uninstallers.
• Leftover watch tells you when an app is uninstalled outside eclean, so you can clean up what it left.
• Automatic performance mode turns on Performance Mode while the apps you choose are running.
• Expert tweaks, formerly Beta tweaks, offer deeper CPU, timer and power changes.
• Three new themes, Twilight, Nocturne and Fjord.

Redesigned

• The Optimizer is now one page. Recommended changes come first and apply in two presses, with Trade-offs, Advanced and Expert below. Every row explains what it changes and how to turn it off.
• The Junk cleaner tells you how much is safe to clean as soon as you open it. Only safe items are ticked, every item says what happens if you clean it, and a default clean keeps you signed in to your apps.
• Large files checks every drive and sends what you delete to the Recycle Bin, with Put back.
• The DNS Optimizer gives you one clear answer, ignores differences too small to notice, and undoes a switch automatically if lookups fail.
• Desktop apps (formerly Software) shows what's using your space and plans every uninstall in one place. Store apps (formerly UWP Apps) can put back apps that came with Windows.
• Home shows your real optimization progress and offers to restore changes Windows turned back.
• Your PC shows your hardware with maker logos and warns when a display isn't running at its best resolution or refresh rate.

• The Junk cleaner can clean Windows' own leftovers, like old update files and memory dumps, on administrator accounts.

Fixed

• Cleaning no longer breaks Spotify sign-in or removes Logitech G HUB's settings.
• The Junk cleaner no longer counts event logs it can't remove.
• Large batches of protected files now clean reliably.
• Encrypted DNS no longer falls back to plain DNS without telling you.
• Performance Mode now works on standard accounts.
• The eclean service now installs on clean Windows 11 PCs.
• Crash reports now follow your privacy setting before anything is sent.

Renamed and removed

• Software is now Desktop apps, UWP Apps is Store apps, Find large files is Large files, Scheduled cleanup is Automatic cleanup and Beta tweaks are Expert tweaks.
• Secure delete is no longer in Large files. The File shredder still has it.
